Brazilian soccer ace, Neymar Jr did not know what will happen after his diving spree during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. As a result, YouTube and even Facebook were getting filled with a new ‘diving’ series with the Neymar diving skill showing itself all over the world.
It is still hilarious, it is still part of the soccer memes with a big viewing experience on social media and Neymar is doing little to make this go away.
Mind you, the striker is still falling and yelling at the simplest touches in the Ligue 1 in France, though his skills are a bit rusty nowadays, one can say.
The question remains: Will Neymar make it to the memes for the Qatar world cup?
Let us see some of the funniest Neymar rolling videos and parodies before we continue:
This video shows the instances where Neymar could not keep his feet on the ground as he falls constantly at the simplest touches from opponents, apparently.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LsOp9ctceyc
In this video, we can see how his ‘rolling’ spree was sparking a world-wide ‘rolling’ spree among soccer fans and budding soccer players.
They must have found it very funny or perhaps they thought that his skills were the new sets they they need to play football?
RON DIVE?
In passing, let us watch a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo in his Dive Movie which is also on YouTube.
But let me tell you, the Ron movie is real, that is he is not faking the dives, unlike some other players.
Nevertheless, at this point it is good to watch the Neymar Rolling Shooting Star challenge 2018 for a recap of what really took place at the Moscow World Cup. Here it is.
If you enjoyed it, prepare yourself for the 2022 edition and perhaps you can also become a YouTube star if you follow his steps?
Neymar scored an incredible goal against Croatia for Brazil, but this did not prevent his nation from being eliminated from the Fifa World Cup in December of last year and now, his problems are growing worse as he is being dubbed the worst footballer in history.
After Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to Rennes on Sunday, things got worse for the Brazilian star. Of course, the French media criticised the team’s star player Neymar for his involvement, or better yet, the lack of involvement in the humiliating defeat.
Even though PSG started all three of its stars, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar, in attack against Rennes, they were unable to score or secure any points against Rennes. As a result, they are currently only one point clear of Lens in second place in Ligue 1.
Rennes is considered a feeder club in the Ligue 1 and is a dark horse that missed the Champions League last season and is currently 5th in the league while PSG is still sitting tight on the number one spot.
After his unsatisfactory performance in the match, the Brazilian attacker was singled out by L’Equipe, and the media questioned if he had lived up to expectations at PSG. In 22 games this season, Neymar has tallied 15 goals and 13 assists, but he hasn’t been able to regain his previous form since the World Cup break.
Prior to suffering an injury while representing Brazil at the 2022 World Cup, Neymar had an amazing start to the 2022–23 season.
He was dismissed against Strasbourg on December 28 and has yet to recover. Due to Chateauroux, the Brazilian star sat out the encounter against Lens as well as the Coupe de France.
Now, journalist Daniel Riolo didn’t think twice to call the Ligue 1 team’s acquisition of Neymar from Barcelona a failure.
Riolo then stated, “Do we realise that Neymar, in terms of transfer and salary, is the biggest failure in the history of football?”
Fans react towards Neymar’s bashing
A French fan tweeted that others should stop bashing Neymar on his recent struggles as he has helped PSG enter the finals in the Champions League. The fan added that he is a unique player and is providing his club a unique opportunity in having a player like him.
However, there were a number of PSG fans who vehemently disagree with the original poster by saying that he has disrespected the club for years now. They added by saying that Neymar is mostly absent for the games and training and are baffled that some fans are giving him another chance.
Another fan stated that his fans claim that there’s more to come for his involvement in PSG, but they are still waiting for the “best.” This particular fan has stated some profanities in describing Neymar, and asked what technical gestures has Neymar ever brought for the team.
“Sometimes it’s better to leave players like him behind,” said a Twitter fan. The same fan added that when the playing gets bad, it is actually bad regardless of who’s the player. A non professional player would not contribute to the team as much as they think they would.
There appears to be negative sentiment all over the place about Neymar. French fans appear to be fed up with the Brazilian as he has been underperforming for his club. Furthermore, the French do not hold back on their disapproval of a player.
DON’T write off Neymar, says Brazil manager Tite as he discreetly pointed to the star striker, now undergoing 24-hour physiotherapy.
He’s under terrific recuperation despite a “very swollen ankle” as he continues his recovery sustained in their opening World Cup win over Serbia.
“But if you’re writing him off, you will regret it as he won’t be on the sidelines for a prolonged time but he ready for the crucial knockout stages,” said Tite in multiple media interviews.
There were fears the injury sustained by Neymar — with right-back Danilo also forced off in the match with an ankle injury — would see them sidelined for the rest of the tournament.
“I believe that Neymar and Danilo will play the World Cup,” Tite told a news conference. “I believe in that. Medically, clinically, they can talk more about the stages of the treatment. [But] I have no place to talk. I trust that we will be able to use both of them.”
ROBUST TACKLE
Neymar was replaced in the 80th minute of their 2-0 win, but it was later revealed he sustained the injury earlier in the match after a robust tackle from Nikola Milenkovic.
Tite accepted responsibility for not substituting Neymar sooner, saying he did not realise the forward had picked up an injury.
“He was injured, I didn’t see that he was injured, we didn’t have that information, I didn’t notice,” Tite said. “The information didn’t come, it didn’t come, he tried to stay in the field, until he fell. At that moment he was able to continue for the team, to participate in the goals.”
Brazil defender Marquinhos revealed Neymar is sleeping in the physiotherapy room at their hotel in Doha. The defender said the forward has gone through a variety of emotions since sustaining the injury, but is focused on playing a role in this World Cup for Brazil.
SERIOUS TREATMENT
“I think that, at the time, at the moment, it’s a delicate, difficult situation,” Marquinhos said of Neymar’s injury. “After the match, I saw him sad, it’s normal, because of everything he dreamed of, wanted, the desire he had.
“But today, after exams, treatment, he is sleeping in physiotherapy, doing physiotherapy 24 hours a day. This shows how much he wants to be with us, that’s it . We don’t know when. Today we see him much better. It’s very important to be with us. a good head, which greatly influences this moment of recovery. I see him very confident when he returns. And that helps with his return.”
He believes the squad is strong enough to cope without Neymar and Danilo, but emphasised how important they are to the team.
Neymar is a legend of sorts. He played 230 professional games for his first club Santos FC, scoring 138 goals before moving to Barcelona in Europe, where he scored an impressive 105 goals in 186 games. He won the Champions League in 2015 and the Olympic games in Rio in 2016, alongside his current teammates Marquinhos and Rafinha.
In 2017, he hit the headlines when he signed for Paris Saint-Germain before then teaming up with another high-powered new arrival, Kylian Mbappé, determined to write history.
Tite describes him as a “technical leader, a dribbling genius, an unpredictable detonator”.

The top four favourites have qualified for the next round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, and while most of them know who they will face in the elimination round, Brazil is still waiting to find out who they will face next week.
The Brazilians are still playing Cameroon in their final group-stage match. They advanced to the next round, win or lose.
But how likely are their chances? And who are the top four contenders for this year’s trophy?
Aside from Brazil, we chose France, the defending champions who were defeated by Tunisia in their previous group match and will face Poland, Argentina, the country of Lionel Messi, the GOAT in the arena, and England, the country that invented football and once won the title.
Brazil on top
We begin with Brazil. The odds are stacked in Brazil’s favour, and an AI predicts the Selecao will win the trophy this year.
Image of Neymar, from Wikipedia.
They breezed through their group, winning the first two games. They did, however, lose Neymar, on whom their entire offensive strategy is based.
Brazil is rarely displaying the radiance and vigour of the offensive samba with which it is synonymous, and this could be because they have a conservative coach in Tite, who has had a good run with just 27 goals against his side in 78 matches.
The current squad is not playing like the flamboyant Brazil of Socrates and Zico, and it appears that they are focusing on winning, even if only by a single goal, to advance their cause.
The plus of this side: It lost very few matches under Tite. It has a balanced defensive and attacking lineup with veterans behind and younger players in front.
Note that both Serbia and Switzerland could not place any shots on target against Brazil.
Now, they are without Neymar who is expected to be back in the elimination round.
If Neymar is ruled out for the remainder of the competition, Brazil can still rely on Gabriel Jesus, who has been consistent for both club and country.
Argentina and Messi
Argentina was shocked and the world too was shocked by their 2-1 defeat against Saudi Arabia. While it looked like they took the Saudi team for easy prey, the latter played the match their match of the year. It was their final and they gave everything against the Argentinians and won.
Messi scrambled in the next two matches winning them for Argentina but will he be able to continue on this run against bigger opponents? They do look good at times and this is what has given their fans hope that Argentina is still a big contender in this tournament.
Too much dependency on Messi shows that something is not right with Argentina but we never know.
England with set pieces
England has big goals and wants to go further than the 2018 semifinals. They can if they keep playing like they did against Iran and Wales.
Experts argue that they are better with set pieces, which they heavily used during the 2018 World Cup.
They are lower on set pieces this time, but that should not be a problem because they can easily turn on the goals from free kicks and corners.
So far, they are the team with the fewest odds stacked against them, thanks to their incredible frontline.
France Double?
Brazil won the World Cup back-to-back in 1958 and 1962, with Pele as the star player.
France is missing many of its star players, but it still has the potential to advance to the next round if it can defeat its next opponent, Poland, the surprise team at the tournament.
Image of Kylian Mbappe, from Wikipedia.
Kylian Mbappe, young and fabulous, is the reason they can win this World Cup. They went through the second round in a breeze beating Australia and Denmark and gave Tunisia a chance to grab three points with an extremely light squad in their last group match.
Not surprising at all that France is still strong in the competition four years after winning it big in Russia. They have young talented players who can win it.
But experts say they give too much chances to opponents and they keep the ball less than the other top favourites, which could be a problem when they advance against tougher sides that are excellent in keeping the ball during elimination matches.
With the World Cup barely a month away, Brazilian superstar Neymar goes on trial in Spain Monday over alleged irregularities in his transfer to Barcelona nearly a decade ago.
The trial, which is set to open at 10:00 am (0800 GMT) at the Provincial Court of Barcelona, is the culmination of a years-long legal saga over his 2013 transfer from the Brazilian club Santos.
Neymar is one of nine defendants on trial on corruption-related charges, among them his parents and their N&N company, which manages his affairs.
All three are facing charges of business corruption.
Investigators began probing the transfer after a 2015 complaint filed by DIS, a Brazilian company that owned 40 percent of the player’s sporting rights when he was at Santos.
Barcelona said the transfer cost 57.1 million euros, but prosecutors believe it was at least 83 million euros.
The club said it paid 40 million euros to N&N and 17.1 million to Santos, of which 6.8 million was given to DIS.
But DIS alleges that Neymar, Barcelona and the Brazilian club colluded to mask the true cost of the deal.
Among the other defendants are two former Barca presidents, Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, and ex-Santos boss Odilio Rodrigues Filho.
‘Complicity to defraud’
Neymar, now with Paris Saint-Germain, is expected in court on the first day, although that has not been officially confirmed.
He will testify on either October 21 or October 28, but it is not known if he will have to be physically present. The trial is due to end on October 31.
If convicted, he could face two years in jail and a 10-million-euro ($9.7 million) fine.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will take the stand on Tuesday by videoconference to explain how a 2011 secret pre-contract deal between Barca and Neymar influenced the market.
“Neymar Junior, with the complicity of his parents and FC Barcelona and its directors at the time, and Santos FC at a later stage, defrauded DIS of its legitimate financial interests,” said DIS lawyer Paulo Nasser on Thursday.
DIS is seeking to recover 35 million euros.
Set for World Cup
Neymar’s lawyers insist their client is innocent, saying the 40 million euros was a “legal signing bonus which is normal in the football transfer market”.
The footballer is having one of his best seasons since he joined PSG following a world record 222-million-euro transfer in 2017.
He scored the only goal in Sunday’s 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Marseille at the Parc des Princes in Paris. Neymar has nine goals and seven assists in 11 matches in Ligue 1.
But his relations with France international superstar Kylian Mbappe appear to be strained, with the 23-year-old reportedly demanding PSG sell the Brazilian.
Neymar is also expected to play a key role for Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar, as the South American giants seek to win the trophy for the first time since 2002, and the sixth in total.
He will lead the Selecao into their Group G opener against Serbia on November 24.
The FIFA World Cup has been around for almost a century. The cup has brought the spotlight on numerous players such as Pele, Ronaldo, Neymar and many more. It is a rarity as it only occurs every four years.
There are many speculations on this year’s World Cup, but due to the scandal about Qatar’s human rights issues and the splitting of the Champions/Premier League is making it look rushed.
Numerous important players were unable to join this year’s World Cup due to injuries from the Premier League. Furthermore, it is still unclear if Son Heung-Min is able to play in it after his eye socket injury.
Fans have already begun making memes about the 2022 World Cup and claimed that Spain will pass the ball until they “die.” Portugal will pass the ball to Ronaldo constantly for him to strike, Brazil will constantly dribble the ball to confuse other players and jokingly claim that for Argentina, if another team hurts him, they will die.
Now, the list of the 5 best World Cups was made by shortlist.com and it has quite a number of interesting facts to it.
Number 5, South Korea/Japan
Image of the 2002 World Cup logo, from Wikipedia.
The 2002 World Cup, 20 years ago, is listed as the fifth best in this list. Brazilian Ronaldo led Brazil to be the best team of the cup. 2002 was the year that Brazil beat Germany in a 2-0 final match.
In the list, they mentioned the most shocking things that happened in the year. Namely, the questionable refereeing that was done in the South Korea vs Italy match where South Korea saw an advantage over the latter. The United States also managed to beat Portugal and send them home. This is only for them to be sent home by Germany.
Number 4, England

The 1966 World Cup, which was hosted by England and was brought up by numerous Qatar defenders when it came to the LGBT rights issue the Middle East country had. Again, Italy lost to Korea, but this time it was North Korea. It appears that the Italians have a weakness for Koreans.
England had a third goal in the 1966 finals and it is considered to be one of the most memorable moments in FIFA’s history as it is the most contested goal in any World Cup Final. Furthermore, the Jules Rimet trophy was stolen from the exhibition and it caused panic right before the cup started but it was later found wrapped in paper under some bushes in London.
Number 3, Mexico

The 1986 World Cup was listed as the third best. Argentina was listed as the best team for the year and the centre of attention was Maradona. Argentina, under Maradona’s amazing skills, managed to beat West Germany in a shocking 3-2 final. It was dubbed the victory of the ‘poor countries’ by some.
Morocco was considered to be one of the biggest shocks of the 1986 Cup as they managed to beat England, Portugal and Poland. However, in the end they were beaten by West Germany. Furthermore, Maradona’s goal was regarded as “the goal of the century.”
Number 2, Italy

The 1990 tournament was held by Italy. West Germany won the match and Argentina was a close runner up. It appears that Cameroon also made the list of one of the notable countries of that year’s World Cup.
Cameroon beat Argentina in a 1-0 match and it was said to be a tough game but Cameroon deserved the win. Roger Milla was the ultimate star for Cameroon. Their tackle against Argentina was said to be one of the greatest of all time. Costa Rica then humiliated Scotland and Ireland had an amazing quarter final.
Number 1, Mexico (again)
Image of Pele in the 1970 Mexico World Cup. From Wikipedia.
Not to be confused with the 1986 Cup as this one is the 1970 Finals. Apparently, Mexico is good at hosting the World Cup as they appeared on the list twice. Brazil won the cup that year and it’s mostly thanks to Pele, Carlos Alberto, Gerson, Tostao, Rivelino and Jairzinho. They are called the ‘Giants of Brazil’ until today.
The biggest shock was that England was leading their match against West Germany with a 2-0 scoreboard. However, West Germany fought back and whacked them with a 3-2 scoreline at the end of the game.
Brazil destroyed Italy that year with a remarkable 4-1 result. This specific event was ranked as the best due to the fact that the highest score per game ratio was seen in 1970. Apparently it has not been beaten ever since.
What will happen in the next World Cup?
Will the 2022 World Cup measure up with these five best cups? We will have to wait and see when the games commence next week.
