The Philadelphia Eagles are trading All-Pro edge rusher Haason Reddick to the New York Jets says a CBS Sports report. Philadelphia will receive a conditional draft pick in 2026 in exchange for Reddick.
The pick is currently a third-round selection but could become a second-round pick if the former Eagle plays 67.5% of the defensive snaps in 2024 and has 10-plus sacks. nThe deliberate moves teams make to ensure their success in the future are highlighted by this transaction, which injects some excitement into the NFL landscape.
Reddick is coming into the last year of his deal with the Eagles with a bang, having set career highs in forced fumbles and sacks since joining in 2022. The effect of the Camden native is evident, as he made appearances in the Pro Bowl in both seasons.
According to CBS Sports, Reddick is expected to have a base salary of $14.25 million with a significant cap hit of $21.8 million in 2024. As he looks to make a lasting impression in Philadelphia, Reddick’s arrival is sure to delight Eagles supporters.
Reddick Uses Social Media Statement to Dispel Trade Rumors
The edge rusher, 29, caused a stir when he addressed trade speculations head-on in a recent social media post in February. In response to earlier NFL Network assertions, Reddick took to X to clarify that, contrary what some stories suggested, he had never made a trade request.
“Never made a trade request. But I do realize that it’s a business,” Reddick wrote. “Preparing for whatever is next!” cbsnews quoted Reddick as saying.
After months and months of back and forth, the 76ers-Harden saga has finally ended.
The breaking news came in the dead of night, when the world was still in a state of slumber. Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted that the 76ers have finally agreed to send the 10-time NBA All-Star guard to the team of his own choice, the LA Clippers.

The previous weeks have been hell for both sides, especially for Harden, who seemed eager to get away as soon as possible from the grips of 76ers president Daryl Morey.
Harden’s absence
This month, Harden was away for most of the time, seemingly uninterested in whatever activities the 76ers had on their schedule. He missed the media day, the entire preseason slate, and 10 days of practice. He only showed up at the airport with his bags, reportedly ready to roll for the games against the Bucks and Raptors, only to be denied entry. He was allegedly asked to leave and not travel with the team. He was also requested, according to other reports, to return to the practice facility and collaborate with the development team.
During that time, no one was sure of when Harden would possibly appear in the 76ers’ game. The NBA even launched an investigation as to why Harden had to miss televised games when he was in perfect condition.
But one thing was sure, with all the drama that Harden caused, his relationship with the 76ers has already gone sour. There was no going back. Harden had already made their situation public starting in August, when he called Morey a liar at a public event in China. He even went so far as to call their relationship “irreparable” the day before he started missing practice.
Thankfully, though, the spectators won’t have to see Harden with the 76ers anymore, a team and an organization that he’s tried so desperately to get away from.
The Blockbuster Trade
As reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, these are the complete details of the blockbuster trade:
Los Angeles Clippers get: James Harden, P.J. Tucker, Filip Petrusev.
Philadelphia 76ers get: Nicolas Batum, Marcus Morris, Robert Covington and KJ Martin, and draft picks.

– 2026 LAC first-round pick via OKC – 2028 LAC first-round pick – Two second round picks – One pick swap https://t.co/ApsFqTjZ9e
On the technical side, Harden’s stay with the 76ers wasn’t so bad, as he logged an average of 21.0 points, 10.6 assists, and 6.4 rebounds in 79 games after being acquired at the 2022 deadline.
Happy with the news
After the deal was officially sealed, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne reported that Harden was ‘ecstatic’ to be joining the Clippers. Now, he’s looking forward to joining forces with the Clippers’ strongest players, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook, and helping the team win a championship.
Via Shelburne: Harden is “ecstatic” to be going to the Clippers and is hoping to fly to Los Angeles as soon as possible, sources close to him say. There’s a chance he is in attendance for Tuesday’s home game vs Orlando.

The NFL is towards a crucial stage as the preseason games come to a close: roster cuts. All clubs are getting ready to introduce the 53 players who have been selected to compete in the forthcoming season’s gridiron matches, as there is much expectation in the air.
At this point, there will be a frenzy of activity as players locate new homes, sign contracts with other squads, or say goodbye to the spotlight of the league. These choices are driven by the unrelenting desire for perfection, which shapes the paths of both seasoned professionals and budding stars.
Players are routinely released or waived in the dynamic world of professional sports for reasons ranging from injury to intense competition in particular positions. Some are able to restart their careers with new teams, while others spend years impressing the 32 teams in the league via practice squads in an effort to get back on the pitch.

When are players eligible for practice squad signings?
Players that are waived can shortly join practise squads, usually within 48–72 hours of the deadline, in the world of NFL roster cuts. Teams scramble to sign these possible gems during this short window as they look to improve their squads. It’s a compelling illustration of the sophisticated player management choreography used by the NFL.
Track star Letsile Tebogo, 20, has become an unstoppable force in the 2024 season after putting on amazing feats that have left people with their jaws wide open. NBC Sports’ Director of Social Media, Travis Miller, received a ton of responses from fans, including Noah Lyles, asking about their favorite Letsile Tebogo moments to share.
Tebogo’s story has enthralled spectators across the globe with his blazing sprints and breathtaking finishes, establishing him as a rising celebrity in the sports world.
Tebogo of Botswana kicked off his 2024 campaign with a bang, winning the 300-meter dash in 30.69 seconds at the Curro Podium Final in Pretoria. He was unstoppable on the track and won gold again at the Athletics Grand Prix 2, clocking a lightning-fast 44.29 seconds for the 400 meters.
However, it was his astounding 19.94-second 200-meter sprint at the ASA Athletics Grand Prix 3 that took the world by surprise, catapulting him to the top of the world rankings and bringing him ever-closer to Usain Bolt’s legendary 19.19-second record. Tebogo’s season-long 20-second leap not only establishes a new benchmark, but it also solidifies his reputation as a genuine athletic marvel.
Letsile Tebogo vs Noah Lyles
As competitors across the globe get ready for what promises to be an incredible track and field year, with the Olympics in Paris taking center stage. Among the competitors, Letsile Tebogo and American phenom Noah Lyles are stirring up excitement as they aim for Olympic gold.
They have demonstrated unrelenting tenacity with every step they have taken this season, keeping fans on the edge of their seats as they await their pursuit of success on the biggest stage of them all. As these competitors are ready to shine and motivate on the track in Paris, prepare to see history being made.
Many Sixers supporters were outraged by a fresh piece of information surrounding Danny Green’s contract with the 76ers.
The trade casualty of 76ers-clippers trade
James Harden’s relationship with the 76ers has been one of the biggest stories on social media this off-season. Harden’s issues with the 76ers began in August when he called 76ers President Daryl Morey “a liar,” and then in October when he called his relationship with the team “irreparable.”
Not only this, the 76ers suffered as well, as Harden missed several key events, including media day and all of the 76ers’ pre-season games, and did not show up for practice for 10 days.
But when the seven-player blockbuster trade finally went through, the 10-time NBA All-Star was finally sent to the LA Clippers.

And James Harden and the 76ers were finally happy to be out of each other’s hair.
However, amidst all the buzz regarding Harden, there was one player who wasn’t as enthusiastic as the rest.
Unfortunately, Philadelphia had to sacrifice one player on their roster, as they only sent out three in the deal, and the Clippers had sent them four, which meant that they had to make room for the fourth one and release one of their own players.

Philadelphia 76ers get: Nicolas Batum, Marcus Morris, Robert Covington and KJ Martin, and draft picks
And Danny Green, who was signed on a non-guaranteed deal, was released. The 15-year veteran was the lone trade casualty of the seven-player blockbuster deal between the LA Clippers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 76ers are waiving veteran guard Danny Green, sources tell ESPN. Philadelphia needed the roster spot to complete the trade with the Clippers. https://t.co/ZqnoYH5ZiB
According to his interview in “Inside the Green Room”, he was 90% done unpacking his stuff when he got the call that he was to be released by the team.
“They got more players than they sent out and, unfortunately, they had to waive somebody, and my contract was the one that needed to be waived, and this is even more unfortunate, I’m 90% done unpacking my stuff. Took the dogs out. I come back in, I’m pretty much unpacking all day, and I think we’re probably 7/8 through, probably 85% done, and getting rid of stuff. So this happens as I’m almost done unpacking all my stuff,” Green said.
He went on to say that he and his family had just moved into their new home a week ago and had begun to settle in, but now that he was no longer a part of the team, things needed to be addressed.
Danny Green lowered his opening bonus
According to previous reports, the Philadelphia 76ers signed Danny Green to a one-year, non-guaranteed contract that has multiple trigger dates.
Danny Green’s one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers is non-guaranteed and includes several trigger dates, league sources told @MikeAScotto and me.
Opening night: $500,000 November 24: $750,000 December 24: $1.3 million@SixersAdam and @PaulHudrick had non-guarantee first.
However, instead of getting paid $500,000 on opening night, Green consented to accept a payment of $200,000 in order to assist the Sixers in reducing their tax, as Chris Haynes of The Bleacher Report disclosed. Sadly, the 76ers still traded Green in spite of this.
Danny Green helped out the 76ers by taking less money and was waived a couple weeks into the season 😩
“If he was on the Sixers roster opening night he would get 500k. Well he restructured it where he would get 200K to help out with tax purposes and now he’s waived”
“Danny Green actually restructured his contract before the start of the season. He took less money to help the team out with tax purposes and now he’s waived,” Haynes reported.
Fans’ enraged at Green’s unfortunate situation
Enraged by this piece of information, numerous fans rallied in the comment section and said that this was exactly why the players shouldn’t get too attached with their teams.
One fan said, “Why can’t one of their executives take a pay cut instead of the players? The player is actually earning their bonus!”
While one X user added, “It’s disgraceful to ask a player making the minimum to reduce his bonus by 60% and then cut him a week later. Basically they took money that was promised to Danny Green and stuck in ownership’s pocket and then cut him. And his wife and newborn son just arrived in the city.”
Finally, one fan implied that maybe Harden was right about the 76ers after all, writing, “Harden was right ??”

What brand-new features does Madden 24 offer?
Madden 24 will enthral fans with thrilling updates. By improving the franchise mode experience, which has been dominated by Ultimate Team mode, EA Sports is addressing a long-standing issue. Players can now offer six picks in trades, covering two drafts, as opposed to the previous limit of three. While not aiming for complete realism, these advancements from earlier iterations promise a gameplay that is much more interesting.
The expanded relocation tool now covers 34 cities, including some outside America such as Melbourne, Montreal, Vancouver, Paris, Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro. Previously, each city had three name choices limited to that particular city. Now name choices are no longer tied to a city except for the name Oilers, which will remain exclusive to Houston. Among other things, it has become easier to manipulate players’ salaries and activate the fifth-year option in players’ contracts.
Major changes to gameplay make this the best-feeling Madden in years, says SBNation. The players on the screen play like actual footballers do, it adds, noting: “It’s clearly a definite decision by the developers to make Madden 24 feel more like the NFL.”
